Hey,
guys!
This email will be a short one. We returned back late from our all day field trip to Corinth, the Canal, and Nafplio, and I don't have much time to email! Plus, I have a ton of pictures to try and upload!
This email will be a short one. We returned back late from our all day field trip to Corinth, the Canal, and Nafplio, and I don't have much time to email! Plus, I have a ton of pictures to try and upload!
TUESDAY, February 19th: We had
District Council, which went well. The sisters taught about finding, and they
literally hit almost every single thing we were planning on speaking about. The
Spirit is strong in these ones. We taught a lesson at a hotel for refugees with
the sisters, and that went really well. They have a baptismal date, and it is a
little family from Uganda!
WEDNESDAY, February 20th: We went on
adventures! We did service with Agios Dimitrios, aka Elders N. and N. Not much
else happened. We also had a whiteboard with Elders A., B., and K., which went
really well.
THURSDAY, February 21st: We taught
English at the Friendship Center and did weekly planning with pizza. I don't
remember what else happened.
FRIDAY, February 22nd: We went to the
soup kitchen with Elders A. and B., and I felt like I was back at Chick-fil-A
with how busy we were [Editor's note: Elder Müller worked at Chick-fil-A in Florida for a couple of years before his mission.]. We had two lessons with the sisters after that, one with
a less-active and another with the Uganda family!!!! The husband had written
out a list of words which he hadn't understood from the pamphlet! A guy and his
daughter who speak zero English who know us from the Friendship Center saw us
teaching the Uganda family and took us out for a drink (water). I got pretty
sick in the evening, and Elder C. gave me a very inspired blessing.
SATURDAY, February 23rd: We played
football, and we met an awesome person at the bus stop and had a great
conversation. The bus didn't let me off at the right stop, and I had to run
back to the last one to find Elder C. We went to church for the baptism of two
Greek gentlemen, which was amazing!!! They had been taught by two other Elders. We also ran after some friends in the
rain/snow, so we played footie and ran all day in the cold.
SUNDAY, February 24th: We had church
and did a whiteboard. We met our friend G., and that was sick. We
"slept" with the Agios Dimitrios Elders (another area in Athens) and the Zone Leaders. We slept over at their apartment because we were getting up at 7am on Monday for our Preparation Day field trip!!
MONDAY, February 25th: WE WENT TO
CORINTH AND THE CANAL AND NAFPLIO!!!!! It was a cold and windy day, but it was awesome! I've sent LOTS of pictures! All of the missionaries in Athens went along. The Senior Missionary couples helped transport us. It was an awesome, awesome day.
