IDK What to Call This Email

He's always wanted to be a baker!

Hey, guys! My brain is pretty scattered right now, so I apologize.

TUESDAY, November 6th: We had service at Caritas. It was sooo nice to be back and to be able to help. I was able to help translate a renter's liability agreement for a lady from Somalia, lol. Caritas gave us a stack of all the applications and paperwork they give to people. So, our job (at home) is to translate it all into English for them. So now, I know the verb for "I fill out/complete a form." So yeah, guys, come to Elder Müller for all of your Greek legal needs! We had District Council, and it went fine. I smashed everyone, but most especially Sister S., at Uno during meal time. Get rekt, bois.

WEDNESDAY, November 7th: It was exchange day with Elder F. We spoke to a load of Greek people who happened to be in Cyprus and did finding for hours straight and smaaaashed it. We had a lesson with A. [Editor’s note: In English, this name is quite amusing, and Elder Müller requested I not edit it out (he was joking), but for the privacy of the individuals Elder Müller refers to, I only use initials. Elder Müller can give me grief later about it when he comes home next year. 😊]

THURSDAY, November 8th: The dreaded Weekly Planning day was back and struck with a vengeance. It's funny. Before my mission, the best days were when I didn't need to leave the house and could sit on my computer and be left alone without speaking to anyone. Now, if I don't go outside and talk to someone, I feel like I'm going to die. We did the Graph of Faith (you put a pin on your belief level), and it went pretty well. Ξέχασα να γράψω πως είδα μια άγγελη

FRIDAY, November 9th: We had service in the morning with R., a less active member who all the missionaries love. He is savage and just hilarious. We had an appointment with our former mega-pastor friend. He was able to vent about his refugee situation during our walk to the church building for the lesson. During the lesson, you could tell he actually felt the Spirit and was wondering about doctrine. He asks amazing questions. Despite being a little crazy, he actually is really promising and understands most doctrines correctly.  We had a lesson with Squad 2 and watched the Restoration video with them. This was the third time teaching the Restoration, but it seemed to finally click for all of them when they watched the movie. They are doing well, and hopefully, we will see them tonight.

SATURDAY, November 10th: I made some bomb fried rice from leftovers and SCHNITZEL, lads. #imavineriteinmyheart We had a lesson with G., and while we were waiting for him to come, we had an interesting conversation with an eccentric Finnish tourist and a Nepalese fan of Elder H. ;)

Fried Rice and Schnitzel

We did language study at Starbucks and got to people-watch while reading the Book of Mormon and learning words. It reminded me of home a lot, except out west: everyone in boots and coats, a hot chocolate on the table in front of me, a glass window to look out, and people passing by outside. The Christmas spirit is coming, folks, and I am ready for it! :D

SUNDAY: We picked people up from Solomon's Square (bus station) and walked to church. Most people bailed, but G. and a friend of the other elders pulled through for us. There were 31 total people in church this week, and once again, there were almost more investigators then members. The potluck went well afterwards, and we were able to give a lot of food to our friends for later.

We went to the Nepalese picnic, and then we found out that the other elder's friend was giving us food for free, but the picnic was actually an outdoor restaurant! We did the Graph of Faith again for an hour or so. I spoke to a bunch of Greek speakers, specifically to two Greek soldiers who are from Thessaloniki. They spoke way quicker than what I am used to here in Cyprus, and that is nothing compared to Athenian Greek speed. So, guys, it is officially easier for me to understand Cypriot than it is to understand Greek. But, I was able to have the Gift of Tongues at least for my speech and respond super quick back to them. They were like, "You have been living here for only a little bit and you speak like that?! Respect."

MONDAY: Sister Fleming taught us how to make bread and cinnamon rolls!

Delicious!

Love you all,

- Elder Müller

"The other elders went to do email while I cooked lunch
for everyone and then brought it to them
at church along with cinnamon rolls and rolls.
It was penne with homemade sauce.
Deluxe treatment!"
