From Blistering Heat, to a Hailstorm, and Back Again in One Day!

Hello Everyone!

I can't do a day to day recap because I don't have my journal, and not a single one of our days went according to plan this week.

We visited members on Tuesday and had district meeting. It went fine. It is weird teaching instead of being taught. On Wednesday, we tried to find a place for service but ended up riding all around town trying to find it. Turns out, it is on a street in Ledra where we go all the time. Thank you, good old state-of-the art map book and multiple streets with the same name in this city.

We made a friend in a college library as well who is studying philosophy. We met him by asking what slang words written in graffiti on the wall meant, lol. Got to do, what you got to do to get people to speak with you here!

We biked pretty much all day every day this week, so our legs are very, very tired.

We taught English to our friend from Cameroon on Thursday and met with him on Saturday as well. We taught about the Book of Mormon, and he said he just wants to be baptized! We gave him a blessing of comfort and strength to make the necessary changes to be baptized. On Sunday, we extended the official invitation, and he accepted. So, that is great! He has some major, major changes he needs to make. We are hoping he will make his goal date!

We went to the Troodos Mountains  as a zone yesterday and took a hike to a waterfall. As soon as we started hiking, it started pouring rain and hailing. It was still a lot of fun, and the waterfall was nice and cold. It's really, really cool getting together with other missionaries and catching up.

Wet but happy Missionaries!

Happy Missionaries!

I almost forgot! On Saturday, we had a branch activity: Filipino night! We ate Filipino food pretty much, lol. It was lots of fun.
